(December 2nd) Motion To Dismiss made her return after a long-layoff and was victimized by bad racing luck, finishing 8th in her return. She ran dead last for the entire race and then made a bold move starting in the middle of the final turn. She worked her way up to the 4th place horse and looked like she had a good shot to finish 2nd or 3rd until that 4th place horse altered course abruptly, forcing Motion To Dismiss to check hard at the 8th pole, losing her momentum completly and allowing horses she had passed to get back by her. It was a tough break.

In just her second start, she set the pace in the 8.5 furlong route and showed incredible grit as she fought off most challengers down the stretch. In the end, she finished 2nd, right behind a $600,000 yearling who managed to get by her on the inside rail. It was a long way back to the third place finisher. (October 5th) There has been a virus going through the horses at the training center in Ocala, FL and our horses have not been immune from it. Can't Prove It caught the virus first, but he has fully recovered and missed very little training. Quality Central is in the middle of having the virus and he has been swimming daily until it is gone. Saint of Saints just recently caught it and he is in the early stages of working through it. So far, Senior Statesman is the only one who has been lucky enough to avoid it, but we would not be surprised if he came down with it also. The good news, based on Can't Prove It's quick recovery, is that the virus has only a short term impact and is appears to be gone within just a few days. In addition, the horses who have it are able to maintain their fitness by swimming each day. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal shortly.
(October 4th) Solicitation finished 2nd in his race yesterday. He was the co-leader the first half of the race and then made a mid-race move to take a small lead. Being stalked closely by the favorite, he fought nose to nose down the stretch with the race favorite, but was unable to stay with him for the last 1/16th of the race. It was a great effort for our improving colt.

(September 23rd) We have just uploaded a neat short video of our Roman Ruler yearling colt going out on the track for the first time in Kentucky. He went around the track a couple of times under tack in easy fashion and looked comfortable over the wet surface. You can view our channel and the video by clicking the YouTube logo off the bottom right of our home page.

She had a beautiful start and settled in a stalking position, 1/2 length behind the leader. Towards the end of the turn, she was asked to pick it up and she pulled away from the field, allowing no one the chance to catch her. It was another impressive win for My Oh Maya.

He quickly took the lead but was sandwiched by two other speed horses that pushed him to a blistering pace for the first third of the race. The jockey eased him back a bit and he sat about five lengths back in third going around the turn. At the end of the turn he made a move to gain ground and then spanned wide to get a clear shot down the stretch, but he could not catch the two speedsters. He was nipped at the finish line for third.
