Smart Throb

A 2014 NY bred filly by Smart Bid

We had to have this filly from the first time we ever saw her.  She is a striking physical specimen with a good mind and is as correct as can be.  She just blew us away in all respects.  Smart Throb is the daughter of Smart Bid (a stunning son of Smart Strike by Mr. Prospector), who won multiple Graded Stakes and earned over one million dollars.  She is out of the unraced Cape Canaveral mare named Sage Burner.  Sage Burner has had four foals race and three of her foals are multiple winners.

In addition to her excellent athletic looks, one cannot help but be impressed by Smart Throb’s pedigree.  It includes a 3 x 3 cross of the most influential stallion of all time in Mr. Prospector as well as a 4 x 5 x 5 cross of the next most influential stallion (Northern Dancer).  Her pedigree also includes the equally notable and exciting 4 x 4 cross of the great broodmare named No Class.  No Class bred seven foals, all of which were winners and very successful runners.  Six of her seven foals earned over $300,000, three earned over $600,000, two earned over $1.5 million and one earned over $3.3 million.

This is one of the best value options we have ever offered in the partnership and we haven’t been this excited about a race filly ever; we strongly recommend her for your consideration.

She will be trained by the world class conditioner H. Graham Motion to race on the NY and mid-Atlantic circuit.   As a NY bred, she is eligible for the lucrative purses offered by the NY bred races.  In training since September of 2015 at the Webb Carroll Training Center in South Carolina, she is expected to start racing in the summer or fall of 2016.
