This very talented and aptly named colt by Macho Uno out of a Holy Bull mare (Ponche de Leona) has been turning heads from day one and currently has a Grade II win and two Grade II places to his credit. In partnership between Dream Team Racing Stable and Reeves Thoroughbreds, Mucho Macho Man (dubbed as “M3”) has been doing all the right things on and off the track and possesses the bright future. The handsome big boy has since been sold in entirety to Reeves Thoroughbred Racing with our best wishes for many more victories and more successes for the Breeders' Cup Classic Champion!
Despite being a late foal (June 2008), he has shown a very precocious side balancing tactical speed with an ability to cover the classic distances going long. He started racing in Florida and after breaking his maiden, M3 has won the Grade II Risen Star at the Fairgrounds and finished second in two Grade II stakes races (Nashua & Remsen) at Aqueduct establishing himself as one of the top two-turn 2 year old runners in the country - landing him squarely on the trail for the 2011 Kentucky Derby.
When foaled, he was thought to have died during the birthing process but to our breeder’s elation, he stood up on his four long legs for the first time ten minutes later. M3 flourished under the Florida sun and the Rios’ training regiment at Rose Grove farm, that developed the big colt wonderfully. Since heading to the track, the 17+ hand equine athlete has been expertly trained by Bill White and Tim & Kathy Ritvo to maximize his physical attributes as he matures mentally each and every day into a top shelf runner. Following his fall campaign in NY, he has relocated to Florida to continue his progression as a 3 year old. After winning the Grade II Risen Star, M3 finished a hard charging third in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby and missed winning by less than three lengths. He followed up with a brave effort on a very rough trip and losing his left front shoe leaving the gate in the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes. Mucho Macho Man finished off the Triple Crown by competing in the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes.
Winner of the Sunshine Millions Classic & G2 Gulfstream Park and Suburban Handicaps in 2012, he has established himself as one of the top horses in the country. M3 has finished on the board in 16 of his 20 starts (6 wins, 5 seconds, 4 thirds, 1 fourth) and has secured more than $2.3 million including over $2 million dollars in graded stakes earnings for his connections.
In 2012, Mucho Macho Man finished 2nd in the Breeders Cup Classic and World Championships at Santa Anita Park only to return in 2013 to be crowned CHAMPION!
SOS is the first and only Dream Team Racing Stable home bred that has raced under for the "Blues" and he continues to impress. He broke his maiden in his second start at Gulfstream Park and has went on to earn his first black type on his resume in New York. This extremely quick son of Saint Andaan has been a DTRS’ fans favorite. With excellent tactical speed, he is often well placed just behind the leaders in a pressing role and we are all excited to see him continue to move forward in 2013 and beyond.
This dashing grey gelding earned his fifth career win in 2013 and has earned more than $150,000 in two years of racing for his connections. His silver mane and tail are often seen over the New York tracks and has become one of the most populalr horses to receive visitors in the barn at Belmont Park. Taz started 2013 in fine fashion going gate to wire for his DreamTeam Racing Stable partners has been one of the most closely followed horses by racing fans in the string.
DTR partners and fans show up to his races by the dozens knowing that the chance of a winner's circle photo is a real possibility. Winning at a 25% rate and finishing in the money regularly, he is regarded as one of New York's most consistent runners.
SONY has earned all the accolades with good reason...this game gelding has already won seven tims and has finished 26 times in the money from his 38 starts and has earned nearly $400,000 for his connections.
After a brief freshening, this good looking gelding by Five Star Day will be hitting the track in 2013 to continue his wonderful career that has brought so much joy to his partners and to continue to add to his seven career victories.
This filly was rarely off the board. Regardless of the level and competition, the very game Closing Argument daughter did not shy away from any rival. It was not unusual to see her trailing the field by ten or more lengths only to unleash her signature move and close from out of the clouds.
Rarely Wrong won at a 30% rate and finished in the money during 70% of her starts. Her love for sloppy conditions was well known and she became a race day favorite for any off track routes.
